CHALLENGE

Insight Strategy Group was looking to expand their business across additional industry verticals. They had done some amazing work in areas outside their core focus and wanted to bring in practice leaders with track records of building new business lines and driving tremendous Revenue growth to scale their business in the lifestyle and CPG verticals. We first set out to hire an SVP and afterwards a VP.

ACTION

We kicked off the SVP search by creating a target list of companies that provide similar brand strategy research solutions and with a similar approach to Insight Strategy Group. With this extremely narrow candidate pool (about 10 ppl) it was imperative that we identify alignment to create optimal interest from the onset as there was really only one shot to engage the few ideal prospects.

RESULT

We setup a custom search process to ensure that we and Insight Strategy Group would leverage the strengths of the leadership and opportunity that would help engage these leaders of successful businesses to want to do it again. Within two months we recognized that there were really only 2 people who had the right experience, drive to scale a “startup” within a larger company, and to leave their successfully paved runways to do it again. We helped ISG transform their business with these two hires that we completed within 2 months.

UPDATE: 18 months later and both the SVP and VP remain high-impact leaders and huge drivers of growth for Insight Strategy Group.
