Ansa Capital (supporting founders with initial investments of $5m to $30m as they scale from the early-stages to emerging growth businesses) raised $135 million for its debut fund, focusing on new markets, innovative distribution models, and modern software tools. The GPs built their careers as early partners to some of today’s major category leaders — including Coinbase, EverlyHealth, FanDuel, CrowdStrike, Kindbody, and Peloton — and have built Ansa to serve as the hub for tomorrow’s leading companies.
The Managing Partners wanted to bring in a Head of Platform + Marketing who embodied the Ansa Capital vision ensuring they’re adding significant value to their portcos and to Ansa’s LPs.
Working closely with the founding partners Marco DeMeireles (ex-TCG / Chernin) and Allan Jean-Baptiste (ex-KKR Growth) we set out to secure a remarkable Platform leader with the marketing background to help build and engage the Ansa network.
As the Head of Platform + Marketing for this 10 person team they will be leading all aspects of Platform with an initial focus on Marketing. So we modeled out a few types of profiles (Platform leaders at other VCs/PEs, Marketing Communications leaders from MarComms companies that work with startups, and Chief of Staffs at growing startups) that would bring the skillset we were seeking for this role and then engaged and evaluated the market to ensure we made the best possible hire.
