Hire a Performance Marketing Leader to scale reach, clientele and build the team
BizFi, previously known as Circadian, is a FinTech that helps small to mid-sized businesses access capital to drive scale through their platform. They decided to invest in their own growth by bringing in a performance marketing leader but as a small (relatively unknown) business, this was a monumental task. They reached out to our marketing headhunters for help to find a Performance Marketing Director that could develop the strategy, execute on it and also build a team around them.
Working with the founder, enabled us to quickly identify that we were looking for a Performance Marketing Director who had the experience of working in an early-stage startup but who also had the experience leading performance marketing budgets in the $15-$20M range. We also needed someone who could setup and integrate data platforms that would enable them to optimize their ROI targeting both the Mid-Market and nuanced SMB segments.
The co-founder and CMO interviewed 3 people with ideal backgrounds within the first couple of weeks with one separating himself from the pack as the perfect cultural fit. We hired him and within 6 months he was promoted from Director to VP.
