General Partner

CHALLENGE

Flybridge Capital Partners has seen tremendous growth and exits with their portfolio companies so naturally the Partners of Flybridge wanted to add a General Partner to their team ahead of their next fund. They also wanted to create a new role, a VP of Marketing to scale the firm’s presence, driving the growth of their portfolio and to advise across Flybridge’s Portfolio building community and fostering growth of their portfolio companies.

The Founding Partners created a family in Flybridge and it was imperative that we find the right people to fit into their family while also providing tremendous value as an advisor across their portfolio.

ACTION

We worked closely with the Founding Partners so that we could quickly identify the ideal people and profiles.

Within 1 month we had 3 very strong finalists and the perfect new VP of Marketing that we hired to join the Flybridge team.

The General Partner search was a longer endeavor. We met with hundreds of founders, all of whom have built phenomenal companies (some with unicorn exits) and many who have made some very smart investments in other startups. Ultimately our relentless approach to finding the perfect hire paid dividends.

RESULT

The entire process for the VP, Marketing search from kickoff to offer acceptance was 30 days, with the interview process concluding within 3 weeks. In working closely with the founding Partners at Flybridge it was evident from the start that we found the perfect leader for this multi-faceted role.

Despite the tall orders, Flybridge’s new Partners have been building their brand, encouraging community across their portfolio companies (fostering growth and collaboration), while also advising their portfolio companies on scaling their businesses and teams.
